  1. I read the entire book in 1.5 hours. No need to buy it, check it out at an library or just read it at Barnes and Noble.

  5. I recently purchased this book, and I must say “Songwriter’s Market” has really opened my eyes to this type of industry. Not only does it point you in the right direction for marketing your songs, it also gives you inside information on who to contact, name, address, phone number, etc. It is all up to date! I currently use Sonic Bids, an online market for musicians, to find contacts, contest, etc, but I have found that this book informs you detail for detail BEFORE you submit your work. It helps you eliminate the middleman trying to make income off of you promising to “help you submit your work in the right format for the particular accepter of your material”. We all know it’s a tough market, but if you’re serious about your craft, this is a must read, an industry standard!
